Season 1[]
In The Beast of Royston Vasey, Legz Akimbo put on a play on homosexuality called "Everybody Out!", aimed at 9-12 year olds, in Royston Vasey. On their way into town, they got lost twice - once due to the issues with the new road, and another time when they could not work out which way to turn at the roundabout.
While introducing the group to the class, Ollie mentions that Phil was leaving Legz Akimbo to do television work. This was news to Dave, who asked Phil who the casting director for the job was. Phil reveals that it was Paul Alexander, a gay man. Dave then realises that Phil is gay and that he likely got the part by means other than his acting talents. As Ollie is talking to the children about being gay, he says "I bet you there are some gays in this room" - Dave teases Phil and jokes "There’s at least one I know of".
Phil begins to talk to the class about how gay people are normal and healthy. Ollie cuts him off and starts ranting about his hatred of lesbians and how his wife, Linda, left him for a woman after he found them in bed together. Phil attempts to calm Ollie down but Ollie threatens him with a chair.
Later that day, Legz Akimbo put on the play (Everybody Out). Expand
